All prices on this page exclude GST. GST (10%) is added at the end, to the final total.
There are three kinds of job: standard tows (our own rates below), accident tows (capped by NSW law) and special situations (quoted and approved by you first).
Standard tows
A standard tow is a breakdown, a non-running car, a vehicle move or any tow that isn't from a crash scene.
Our base fee varies with demand: $150 off-peak, $175 medium, $200 busy. The current rate is shown here and confirmed when you call.

- Base fee $150 right now (off-peak rate), covering the first 5 km from pickup
- $7 per km after the first 5 km

The surcharge is added to the base fee plus kilometres, and GST is added after that.
Worked examples (at the current base fee)
12 km tow at 8:00pm
Base $150 + 7 km × $7 ($49) = $199.
Time surcharge +30%: $199 × 1.3 = $258.70.
GST 10%: + $25.87. Total $284.57 incl. GST ($258.70 ex GST).
4 km tow at 10:30am
Base $150 (within the first 5 km, so no per-km charge) = $150.
No time surcharge between 9am and 4pm.
GST 10%: + $15. Total $165 incl. GST ($150 ex GST).
18 km tow at 1:00am
Base $150 + 13 km × $7 ($91) = $241.
Time surcharge +50%: $241 × 1.5 = $361.50.
GST 10%: + $36.15. Total $397.65 incl. GST ($361.50 ex GST).
Accident tows: NSW maximum charges
Towing from a crash scene is regulated in NSW. For light vehicles, from 1 July 2026, these are the most a tow operator can charge (ex GST). We never charge more than these limits.

Special situations
Some jobs need extra time, equipment or people: basement and multi-level car parks, low clearance, vehicles that can't roll, prestige or heavily modified cars, and similar. We quote these up front, and the job only goes ahead once you've approved the quote.
